Roatán Dive Sites

Sea Hunt sits on the beach in West End, directly in front of the Blue Channel reef — so most of our sites are a short boat ride (or a few fin kicks) away. Here are the reefs, walls, and wrecks we dive most, from easy training reefs to deep wrecks for technical divers.

Blue Channel

5–18 m / 16–59 ft

Our home reef — a winding sand channel through the coral that starts right off the Sea Hunt beach. Easy, shallow, and packed with life, it's perfect for first dives, training, and relaxed second dives.

West End Wall

12–40 m / 39–131 ft

A dramatic vertical reef wall minutes from the shop, draped in sponges and sea fans with frequent turtle and eagle ray sightings along the blue.

Half Moon Bay Wall

8–30 m / 26–98 ft

An easy, life-rich wall right at the mouth of Half Moon Bay in West End — shallow coral garden on top dropping into a gentle wall, great for all levels.

Spooky Channel

A spectacular crack in the reef in Sandy Bay — tall coral walls close in around you as you wind through a deep, atmospheric canyon and swim-throughs.

Hole in the Wall

18–40 m / 59–131 ft

A sand chute that funnels you down through a chimney in the reef and out onto a deep wall — a classic, slightly deeper Roatán dive with a real sense of adventure.

El Águila Wreck

Roatán's best-known recreational wreck — a 230-ft cargo ship sitting upright in the sand off Sandy Bay, broken into sections that teem with fish and make for easy, atmospheric wreck diving.

Roatán's largest wreck — a 300-ft freighter in Sandy Bay with big, swimmable cargo holds. A superb recreational wreck dive when conditions allow.

A gentle sandy slope in Sandy Bay famous for its colony of brown garden eels swaying from the seabed — plus jawfish, rays, and great macro life. Easy, calm, and a favourite for photographers and relaxed dives.
