Roatán Cruise Beach Day in West End

Skip the crowded West Bay resort beaches. Spend your Roatán cruise day on the quiet sand in the Lower West End — one easy spot for diving, snorkeling, and lunch.

Not everyone in the family wants to do the same thing on a port day — and you don’t have to. Sea Hunt Divers sits right on the sand in the Lower West End, where diving, snorkeling, a real beach, and the Deco Stop Bar & Grill are all in one beachfront spot. It’s the relaxed, local side of Roatán — not a packed resort beach club.

One beach, something for everyone

  • A first-timer (or the kids) can try scuba for the very first time
  • A certified diver in the group can join a reef or wall dive
  • Everyone else can snorkel the reef, swim, or simply stretch out on the sand with a cold drink and lunch

So the certified husband can dive while the kids try scuba and a parent relaxes on the beach — the whole group gets the day they want, together, in one place, and nobody’s herded onto a bus.

Why West End, not West Bay

West Bay’s beaches are beautiful but busy — lined with resorts, vendors, and crowds on a cruise day. The Lower West End is the quieter, more genuine side of the island: calm water, the reef just offshore, and an easy, unhurried pace. It’s the same unique West End experience our overnight guests come for — you just get it for the day.

Getting here

We’re about a 20–30 minute taxi from either cruise port — the Port of Roatán at Coxen Hole or Isla Tropicale (formerly Mahogany Bay). Have your driver drop you at the Lower West End / Sea Hunt Divers — we’re right on the sand.
