I founded this dive shop out of my deep passion for the ocean and my commitment to providing an exceptional diving experience for everyone, no matter their level of expertise.
Meet Dan Siegel
Dan has been diving since 1996, bringing nearly three decades of experience to the Sea Hunt team. In addition to his extensive background as a Technical and Rebreather diver, Dan spent 8 years diving with the San Diego Sheriff’s Department, specializing in underwater search and recovery. During that time, Dan worked on challenging and critical missions, recovering evidence and conducting body recoveries in difficult environments. His unique experience has shaped his approach to diving, emphasizing safety, precision, and professionalism. Today, Dan is passionate about sharing his love of diving with everyone, whether they are new to the sport or looking to expand their diving expertise.
The Story Behind Sea Hunt Divers
Our dive shop’s name, Sea Hunt Divers, is a tribute to the classic TV show Sea Hunt, which sparked a love for diving in countless people, including me. The show inspired generations to explore the ocean’s depths, and we carry that inspiration into everything we do here at Sea Hunt Divers. Our goal is to honor that legacy by offering small, personalized dive trips that cater to divers of all kinds–whether you’re here for recreational dives or embarking on more advanced technical or rebreather diving adventures.
Our Mission
We created Sea Hunt Divers with one simple goal: to treat every diver right. Whether you’re a recreational diver, a first-timer trying our Discover Scuba Diving program, or a seasoned technical or rebreather diver looking for a challenge, we provide an environment where everyone feels welcome, safe, and respected. We offer small group dives to ensure each diver gets the attention they need, making every trip a memorable experience.
