One Second Stage, Configured Your Way
The NEX 2.0 is a modular downstream second stage you build to suit how you dive. The mechanism is the same proven 2.0 platform — what changes is the performance and the colour.
Choose Your Performance
- Unbalanced — the simplest, most affordable build. Reliable and easy to service, ideal for warm-water recreational diving. Breathing effort rises very slightly as tank pressure drops.
- Balanced — a balanced valve delivers consistent breathing effort regardless of tank pressure or depth, so the regulator feels the same on the first breath and the last.
- Balanced + Adjustable — adds an inhalation-effort knob so you can tune cracking effort and prevent free-flow on the surface or in current. The most refined of the three.
Make It Yours
The 2.0 is fully colour-customisable — pick your housing colour and purge-cover colour above. Colours are cosmetic and don't change the price.
Pair the 2.0 with any NEX first stage, or build a complete rig in our regulator builder.

What's the difference between a balanced and unbalanced second stage?
A balanced second stage delivers consistent breathing effort throughout the dive, regardless of tank pressure or depth. An unbalanced second stage is simpler and more affordable, with breathing effort that rises slightly as your tank pressure drops. For warm recreational diving either works well — balanced just feels more refined, especially toward the end of a dive.
What does the 'adjustable' option add?
The Balanced + Adjustable build adds an inhalation-effort knob. Open it up for the lightest possible breath when you're relaxed, or dial it down to firm up the breathe and stop free-flow in current or at the surface. It's the most tunable of the three configurations.
Which configuration should I choose?
Unbalanced for simple, value-focused warm-water diving; Balanced for consistent effort across the whole dive; Balanced + Adjustable if you want full control and the smoothest breathe. All three share the same modular, colour-customisable body — only the valve differs.
Do the colours change the price or performance?
No. Housing and purge-cover colours are purely cosmetic and don't change the price. Performance and price are set by the Performance option alone.
